Faithfully angry (yes)

for justice has not yet been done

Faithfully angry (yes)

As long as part of us suffers we won't give up

 

Setting to work on what is ours to do

Give us trust, give us hope that seasons change

Evil afoot and our love on the move

Transform our pain and use our rage

 

Deepen our love for the world as it is

as we demand that justice birth a change

Hatred inherited this time may die

Waters of fear may drain away

 

Feeling the ache of a violent world

Let us open new sails to winds of change

Praying for peace on behalf of the whole

Make of our tries a holy way

 

God, give us grace to allow things to be

and the courage to change what may be changed

Make of our suffering a pathway to peace

God, brave our steps, come what may
